Why it works

Built on proven strategies

A research-based course: each part of a Day is there for a reason.

speaking from day one

Your teen speaks Spanish from day one

Real Spanish right away, in short, low-stress steps.

Where you'll see it: Say-it-out-loud turns with the guides, the weekly family challenge, and the Record me button to hear themselves.

instant feedback

No more guessing: they see instantly what's right

Every answer is checked the moment it's given, so mistakes get fixed while they're fresh.

Where you'll see it: Answers turn green in the daily practice; you have the answer keys, page by page.

retrieval practice

Words that stick

Recalling a word, not rereading it, is what makes it stick.

Where you'll see it: The self-checking practice every Day and the unit test.

understandable input

Spanish they can actually understand

Videos, picture stories and readings at their level.

Where you'll see it: The teen-guide videos, Fernando's comic, and readings like the travel journal.

spaced review

Nothing gets forgotten

Earlier words and keys come back again and again.

Where you'll see it: Every unit reuses the words from before, and each unit ends with a review Day and the Reto.

backward design

Every lesson has a clear goal

We start from what your teen will be able to do.

Where you'll see it: The ¡Yo puedo! goal at the start of every Day.

Designed by a National Board Certified Spanish teacher who trains other teachers in these methods.

Good questions

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. The lessons teach everything step by step, with plain English first and real voices for the Spanish. You check the work with the answer keys.

Is it right for both a 6th grader and a 12th grader?

Yes. It's Spanish 1 made for grades 6–12: a look and voice for teens, short clear steps, and the orange button always shows what's next. Each learner moves at their own pace.

Does it count as a full Spanish 1 credit?

It is designed as a full one-credit course; parents award the credit. It is a full year of Spanish 1: 25 units, about 135–150 hours. Your parent view keeps the hours, the scores and a transcript summary to save for your records.

How much time does it take?

About 45 minutes a day. A unit takes 5–9 days, and the whole year is about 135–150 hours.

Can we start in the middle of the year?

Yes. Every learner starts at Unidad 01 and moves at their own pace, so you can begin whenever your family is ready. The full course opens in January 2027; join the list to hear first, and to get Unidad 01 free.

What if we fall behind or need a break?

That's fine. There are no streaks to break and no timer on the unit test. The weekly goal forgives a missed day, and your teen picks up right where they left off: the orange button always shows the next step.

How does my teen practice speaking?

Every Day has Spanish to hear and say out loud: conversations with the guides, a Record me button to hear themselves, and speaking turns in the games. On the unit test you listen and score two answers with a simple rubric, no Spanish needed.

What devices do we need?

It runs in a web browser and is Chromebook-friendly. The unit test works best on a laptop or Chromebook. The Student Workbook pages print at home, so many Days can also be done on paper.

Can siblings use it?

Yes. The Family plan covers 2–4 students, each with their own profile and progress, and you can add more for $49 per student beyond 4. One learner? The One student plan is for you.

What does “locked” mean for Founding Families?

Your $249 family price stays the same every year you stay a member, including new levels as they open. If you cancel and come back later, the regular price applies.

How does the Co-op plan work?

One teacher leads up to 15 students with all 25 units, the teacher slides, the guides and the Student Workbook pages, plus answer keys. It's $599 a year, locked, for the first 20 founding co-ops, then $799. Co-op families can add home access for $149 a year.

Is there religious content?

No. The lessons are about language and the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries, so families of every background use it.
